X-Blocks IBBS is an Interlocking Building Block System. It is made in Aruba and features exceptional ease of use. X-Blocks IBBS is faster, easier, strong and durable reducing costs.
These high strength blocks are designed to provide a solution for a huge variety of projects including homes, buildings, fences, septic tanks, pools, material storage bays, retaining walls, push walls, fire break walls, and industrial buildings.
At X-Blocks Constructions Aruba we recognize the importance of a rigorous process to the success of any project. So we focus our efforts not just on the finished product, but also in all the steps we take to make it go smoothly. Staying one step ahead helps us avoid potential missteps. It’s a proactive way of working that constantly reveals ideas and opportunities for improvement throughout the construction experience.
X-blocks Constructions Aruba has four simple goals in mind – to develop and maintain the trust of our clients, to deliver a final product that goes beyond the expectations of our clients, to build positive relationships with every project that is entrusted to us and to be regarded as the best, most ethical commercial construction firm in the industry.
“Quality construction. Honest service. Great value.”
Build Smarter, Build Faster, Build For Tomorrow.
Advantages using X-Blocks interlocking system:
The X -Block (XB ) is a wet cast concrete stone with a so-called ” interlocking ” design . The shape is designed in such a way that the blocks literally hook into another. (both over the longitudinal direction and lateral direction).
X -blocks is stack-able by it’s design and because building constructions are designed by X-Blocks in a Modular way, this will shorten the overall construction time by up to 50% and the building costs up to 30%.
With the X-Blocks building system we don’t chase (carve or cut open) walls to make way for the application of installation work (electrical cables/plumbing pipes).
A traditional solid block wall ( for example a 6″ ) is ALWAYS chased as a result, this altering of the blocks’ structure, in fact, weakens the whole area where the carving/cutting are made. This manifests itself mostly in cracks in your walls… with all its consequences.
The hollow chambers of the X-Blocks can be reinforced where necessary so that columns and beams are being integrated. Concrete reinforcement can be provided conforming and often exceeding local standards. This is also applied in this manner on the ring beams and as excelling detail, one can see that the columns (if any) with the ring beam and wall plate convert to a 1 body structure up to the foundation.
Traditional sand – cement bricks are solid. Heat from the outside of a building construction is thereby transmitted inwards via its full mass.
Because X-Blocks have hollow chambers and stagnant air transmits heat poorly, a house feels much cooler than when using traditional solid blocks.
Because the X-Blocks are “wet cast” and therefore have a higher density than traditional dry pressed blocks, X-Blocks are many times more resistant to raising moisture.
The X-Blocks 8″ hollow blocks have an indoor/outdoor common wall thickness of 100mm, similar to a 4″ solid block. In contrast to a 4″ block which can only be 1-hour fire-resistant after it has been plastered with “Portland cement”, our 8″ X-Block this by itself is 1-hour fire resistant, without the need of plastered cement. Also we’re not talking about a sand-cement dry pressed brick but a wet cast concrete stone.
